About Palmentere Brothers Distributing

On March 1st, 1994, Kevin & Mark Pereira and Tom Riccardi bought Palmentere Brothers, a well-established name in Kansas City who had been doing business since 1972. Two months prior to the purchase, they learned the business from Joe & Benny Palmentere, serving as his Sales Managers. Once Tom finished school 6 months later, he joined Kevin and Mark.

They all agreed to the roles of Tom and Kevin over sales with Mark over financial operations. Their world of distribution began with two broken down trucks, a handful of employees and lots of trial and error. Eventually, the company grew out of the 12,000 square foot warehouse and into the current 167,000 square footer of today.

Along the way they garnered some attention from the media. They were featured in the Kansas City Business Journal where they were commended among other things for trippling their business volume. They were also featured on the Hot Entrepreneurs Under 30 list on www.entrepreneur.com in 1999.

Their willingness to work with customers and to see possibilities helped them to acquire a number of well-known brands.

Though Palmentere has grown in size over the years, they have not lost their core values that made them successful; establishing relationships, keeping their word, and staying humble and genuine.

Palmentere Brothers currently services both Kansas and Missouri counties, including up to the Iowa border, Sedalia, and Topeka.
